AFC West:
The AFC West will be ultra competetive with the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos vastly improved this season. With that being said, the Kansas City Chiefs are still the favorites as they look to defend their Super Bowl title. Quarterback Rusell Wilson hopes to forget last years nightmare and help lead a talented recieving core. The Chargers will need to stay healthy if they want to win the AFC West. If anyone is going to dethrone the Chiefs it would be Los Angeles. My safe pick to win the division however still remains the Chiefs. This is because the talent level on the offensive side is overpowering, and they are the only team to prove it. Finally you have the Las Vegas Raiders who are completely in a rebuild. Head coach Josh Mcdaniels is on the hot seat and another bad season could be the final straw. in his tenure.
1) Kansas City Chiefs 12-5
2) Los Angeles Chargers 10-7
3) Denver Broncos 10-7
4) Las Vegas Raiders 6-11
AFC South:
The AFC South has a lot of new faces heading into this season. This division is once again completely wide open, with any team having a realistic shot. Starting with the Jacksonville Jaguars new reciever Calvin Ridley will hope to add to quarterback Trevor Lawerence's arsenal. The Jags are my team to beat in the AFC South as Lawerence tries to lead this team further into the postseason this season. Next we have the Tennessee Titans who have seen plenty of turnover. Running back Derek Henry will be the main focal point for a struggling offense. The Titans will have to lean on Henry and their defensive core to contend for a postseason bid. The Indianapolis Colts are in a diffcult spot with running back Jonathan Taylor demanding a trade. Having that off field distraction will not help with the on field performance. The Colts will need big things from rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson. Finally you have the Houston Texans. The Texans are rebuilding and rookie receiver Xavier Hutchinson will hope to make his mark on the city of Houston.
1) Jacksonville Jaguars 10-7
2) Tennessee Titans 8-9
3) Houston Texans 7-10
4) Indianapolis Colts 6-11
